Autismetilbuddet Haslev

On 22 October 2026, the court in Næstved declared a small care company in Haslev bankrupt. It handed the company’s affairs to a lawyer from Kolding. Its accounts showed a profit in each of the five years before, and it still had 54 people on its payroll in August. A care company that made money every year. Why it was declared bankrupt, the public record does not yet say.

1The company

A small company that cared for people with autism.

Autismetilbuddet Haslev ApS was founded in March 2019 to run homes for people who need care and support every day. It is based in Haslev, in Faxe Kommune, and is owned by Autismetilbuddet Holding ApS. In August 2026 it had 54 employees.

2What it promised

A home, a staff, and a fix.

A care home makes one plain promise: the people who live there will be looked after. Everything else, the money included, rests on that. Two of the promises below were made around a different home, in Tureby, run by a different company.

  • To run homes and care for the people who live in themThe company’s registered purpose, Danish company register
    Under bankruptcy since Oct 2026
  • To appeal the regulator’s decision, improve the workplace and write a new pay policyManagement of the home in Tureby, a different company, July 2026 (Ritzau)
    Outcome not public
  • To find new solutions for the residents of the Tureby homeThe residents’ home municipalities, summer 2026 (Sjællandske Nyheder)

3What it delivered

Four years of growth, then a fall.

For four years, the numbers went one way.

Its gross profit, the money left after outside costs and before wages, grew from about 14 million kroner in 2021 to more than 57 million in 2024.

That is almost four times as much in three years.

It made a profit after tax in every year from 2021 to 2025.

Its equity, what the owners would keep if everything were sold and every debt paid, rose to about 8 million kroner by the end of 2025.

Then 2025 broke the pattern.

Gross profit fell by more than a third, to about 37 million kroner.

The company still made a profit, of almost 3 million.

In care, the town hall pays, the regulator approves, and the resident lives there. A company like this answers to all three at once.

In July 2025 the company registered a new unit at another address in Haslev.

A health directory lists that address as a place for children with autism.

The accounts stop at the end of 2025. Whatever happened next is not in them.

4The turn

What the record shows, and what it does not.

In Denmark, a private care home may only take residents while the social regulator, Socialtilsynet, approves it.

Municipalities place people there and pay for their care.

Without approval there are no placements, and without placements there is no income.

On 18 July 2026, Ritzau reported that Socialtilsynet planned to close a home in Tureby, in Køge Kommune, by force.

That home, Autismetilbuddet Tureby, is a different home from this company’s, and job listings give it a different company name and address.

The regulator’s reported reasons, on the quality of care and on spending, concerned the Tureby home.

The same Ritzau report said a branch in Haslev would also close.

It did not name the company behind that branch, or say why it would close.

I have found no public decision by the regulator about Autismetilbuddet Haslev ApS itself.

The accounts end in 2025. The public record does not yet explain what came after.

What is known is the court’s side of the story.

On 13 October 2026, a bankruptcy petition reached the court in Næstved.

The public notice does not say who filed it.

The court declared Autismetilbuddet Haslev ApS bankrupt on 22 October and named a lawyer from Kolding as trustee.

The notice appeared in Statstidende, the state gazette, on 27 October.

Creditors have four weeks from then to send their claims to the trustee.

From here, the trustee decides what can be sold, what can be saved, and who is owed what.

The trustee’s report, when it comes, is the first place the cause is likely to be set out.

5Your verdict

The accounts cannot explain this one.

My call: read this bankruptcy by the trustee’s report, not by the accounts. The published numbers show a company that grew and made money every year to 2025, with positive equity. So the cause lies after them, and it is not yet public. Until it is, the people who matter most here are the residents and the staff who looked after them.

6Your move

Three moves, with the residents first.

1

Keep the familiar faces.

If I were the trustee, I would ask the municipalities to keep the staff the residents know with them through every move. For people with autism, a known face may matter more than a new building.

2

Look for an approved operator to take over.

A home can only change hands to someone the regulator approves. I would ask early, so a good place is not lost while the paperwork waits.

3

Tell the staff plainly what they are owed.

Unpaid wages in a Danish bankruptcy can be claimed from the state wage guarantee fund, Lønmodtagernes Garantifond. I would make sure every employee knows how, and by when.

The law

Never Judge a Care Home by Its Accounts Alone

Autismetilbuddet Haslev made a profit in each of its five published years. Those years did not show what came next.

The line to use today

The Haslev care company made a profit every year to 2025, yet a court declared it bankrupt on 22 October, and the cause is not yet public.

The accounts come from a company data service drawing on the Danish Business Authority’s register. The regulator’s reported findings in July 2026 concerned the home in Tureby, which is run by a different company; no public link between those findings and Autismetilbuddet Haslev ApS has been found, and none is implied. The cause of the bankruptcy is not public. No resident, relative or employee is named or described. The verdict, the three moves and the law are Max Noble’s analysis. Not investment advice.
